Whether you are looking for a luxurious and comfortable
lifestyle, a more relaxed and rustic atmosphere, or to explore this
area's rich natural environment, Vallarta Nayarit will soon have it
all.

The
Coast of Nayarit is being re-christened under a new name, "Riviera
Nayarit," and for good reason. With private businesses and
government agencies investing millions of dollars in luxury homes real
estate developments and beach renovations, the Nayarit Coastline will
soon be ready for "Premium" tourism.
Punta de Mita, for example, is starting to concentrate on expensive real
estate developments and projects such as the St. Regis Hotel that is
currently under construction. Anyone who is able to pay around $4 million
USD for a house with a view of the golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus
in the Four Seasons hotel area will be interested in investing in such
properties.
And for the rest of us mortals and bohemians, who don't have such
economic means, San Pancho, Sayulita, and Bucerías will remain fishing
villages, where "extreme makeovers," have not yet been
contemplated.
In fact, the artists, surfers, and retirees who reside in many of the
small towns on the "New Riviera" (the first one was in Quintana
Roo) are not looking forward to having to deal with ambitious projects
such as in the case of Litibú, a luxury resort development and golf
course that was created and planned by The National Bureau of Tourism
(FONATUR.)
For years, the tourist destination formerly known as Vallarta Nayarit has
been dependant on Puerto Vallarta's reputation as a premier beach
vacation destination, but now this developing area of Banderas Bay wants
to be able to attract tourists - from Hippies to the Ultra-Rich - on its
own.
The Riviera Nayarit project will be attempting to support, manage and
develop 160 kilometers of Coast integrating the Municipalities of Bahía
de Banderas, Compostela and San Blas.
In short, whether you are looking for a luxurious and comfortable
lifestyle, a more relaxed and rustic atmosphere, or to explore this
area's rich natural environment, Vallarta Nayarit will soon have it all.

La costa nayarita se rebautiza. Ahora, se lanza con el "nombre
artístico" de Riviera Nayarit, una versión que se está renovando
gracias a la cirugía de millones de dólares que empresas privadas y el
gobierno le están inyectando para dejarla despampanante y lista para el
turismo Premium.
Punta Mita, por ejemplo, concentra los proyectos turísticos inmobiliarios
de fastuosas residencias y hoteles como el St. Regis, que ya está en
obra. Con guiñarle el ojo, es fácil que cualquiera –dispuesto a pagar
casi 4 millones de dólares por una casa con vista al campo de golf
diseñado por Jack Nicklaus del hotel Four Seasons – no se resista a sus
encantos.
Para los simples mortales y bohemios quedan San Pancho, Sayulita y
Bucerías, pueblos de pescadores donde aún no llega el extreme make over
para levantar un nuevo campo de golf dentro de un desarrollo de primera
clase como en Litibú, un Centro Integralmente Planeado por el Fondo
Nacional de Turismo (Fonatur.)
De hecho, quienes residen en estos pequeños pueblos de la "nueva
riviera" (la primera está en Quintana Roo), muchos de ellos
artistas, surfistas y extranjeros retirados, no ven con buenos ojos que
se les venga encima tanto lujo.
El destino, antes conocido como Vallarta Nayarit, se mantuvo mucho tiempo
"colgado" de Puerto Vallarta, pero ahora quiere atraer a los
visitantes – de hippies a ultrarricos – por mérito propio.
La marca pretende posicionar 160 kilómetros de costa, integrados por los
municipios de Bahía de Banderas, Compostela y San Blas.
Quienes quieran pompa y confort, ahí los tienen, los que prefieran un
ambiente más relajado y rústico a la orilla del mar, también se les da. Y
los que de uno u otro extremo no puedan mantenerse quietos, la naturaleza
es tan generosa en esta región que la variedad de actividades
ecoturísticas y de aventura es extensa.
